Count Your Blessings

You can hear that over and over again and it just sits there in your brain---yea yea yea you think----I, personally have never SAT and counted my blessings---I probably should, but like many I just don't----I have had a 'hellish' year---to many of you who know me---that is EXACTLY what it has been for me and my family-----the health issues surrounding us are staggering at times----however---after many months of fearful tears---I have to say without any reservations---that I do count my blessings now---DAILY---and I am gathering the things in my basket that are important priorities and the rest is left on the side of the road----My little sister just had surgery on Tuesday and Chemo on Wednesday---and for some who know how that all goes-----well I am proud of her trooper attitude and her pretty smiley face through it all-----I sure am----

Hi, Renee! I am with you 100% on counting your blessings. I hope you sister is doing good and will have a fast and easy recovery. My parents are here now but are leaving tomorrow for AZ for the winter. It is hard to say goodbye but I know that I have to think positive and know they will be back here in April and that will come before I know it, I am trying to keep my head up and be positive just like you. Take care and I'm sending lots of love and a BIG hug your way. Your bud, Debbie

So glad Renee things are getting better for you and your family. Your sister has alot of amazing people who surround her, so it really is a team effort of attitude and love that gets everyone through times like this. This will be a better year for everyone. *HUGGS*

Renee I pray that your sister comes along really good. I can only imagine what she is going through. When i had my breast cancer they caught it fast enough that I didn't have to go through chemo and radiation. But I have a friend that had to go through that and it's not a fun thing. So you have to be a real trouper to go through that. I know about counting your blessings. As I pray that the next year will be better. And this happens every year. Because as you know my hubby and I go through so many health problems. So I will continue to keep you and your family in my heart and prayers.
They say he only puts on us what we can handle but sometimes I wonder. But there is always someone out there worse off then us. And you just have to keep on going day after day.

hugs pam

This is my first visit to your site. It's wonderful. I know exactly what you mean about health and other issues...it seems I've been chosen for chaos since July 2006. I do hope all goes well. I love your pickle story and can totally relate. Aren't there wonderful artists in this country? I'm so astounded at the creativity of everyone. I'll be back. Karen

Renee, sending prayers and many blessings your way... You are right. We take things for granted. We wake up and expect the day to be like every other one and is seems as though as we get older, we start to experience health issues and our friends and family do as well. We have to keep plugging along and love as if it was our last day... *hugs* xox
